Documents Needed

  • Completed application form, with a separate form for each organic pre-certification or certification status under sub-volet 1.4
  • Project-specific diagnostics, detailed descriptions, scientific references, and device diagrams, as applicable
  • Detailed quotes or equivalent price proof, including a purchase order for biological control agents or pheromones when applicable
  • Plans, specifications, layouts, farm plans, leases, attestation of organic status, and certification documents, as applicable
  • Adviser recommendation for anti-insect net projects on vines or haskap, and the required plans or compliance documents for biodiversity or water-management projects

Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Agricultural operations
  • CUMA with at least three agricultural operations in the branch concerned by the project
  • Agro-processors
  • Agricultural operations with vegetable, maple, or apicultural production units

Eligible expenses

  • Purchase or modification of equipment for mechanical, manual, electric, or thermal weeding, and for reducing pesticide risks
  • Installation of anti-insect nets
  • Use of biological control agents or pheromones
  • Purchase or modification of equipment allowing simultaneous seeding and incorporation of cover crop seed, and improving the precision of fertilization spreading
  • Purchase or rental of irrigation water management equipment

Selection criteria

  • A bonus may be granted when one or more owners of the agricultural operation are considered agricultural succession.
  • A bonus may be granted when the production linked to the application has organic pre-certification or organic certification.
  • A bonus may be granted when the applicant is a CUMA.
  • A bonus may be granted when the project is carried out in the Îles-de-la-Madeleine.

Processing and Agreement

  • Only complete applications that include all mandatory documents will be processed.
  • A request for review of an evaluation decision can be filed within 30 days of the communication date using the review request form.
  • At the end of the project, the claim form must be submitted, and invoices and proof of payment may be requested.
