Prime-Vert – Volet 1 supports individual agri-environmental projects by agricultural operations in all regions to increase the adoption of sustainable farming practices. - Projects that support the Plan d’agriculture durable through eligible practices related to pesticide reduction, soil conservation, fertilizer management, water management, or biodiversity
- Projects to manage agricultural residual materials, including fruit and vegetable wash water, maple production wastewater, agroprocessing process wastewater, greenhouse nutrient solutions, animal manure from exercise yards or near livestock buildings, and plant residues
- On-farm trials to implement agri-environmental practices
- Conversion of plant, maple, or apiculture production units to organic agriculture
Documents Needed
- A completed and signed financial assistance application form
- The mandatory intervention-specific documents for the selected project, such as annexes, diagnostics, or detailed project descriptions
- Detailed quotes or equivalent information including proof of price, when required
- Plans, specifications, location plans, operation specifications, or advisor recommendations prepared by an advisor or engineer, when required
- For sub-volet 1.4, proof of organic pre-certification or certification, the certifier’s supporting document, and, when applicable, a lease or farm plan

Who is eligible?
- Agricultural operations
- A coopérative d’utilisation de matériel agricole (CUMA) whose project-related activity branch includes at least three agricultural operations
- Agroprocessors under sub-volet 1.2
How to apply
- Read the full program text to review all program details.
- Consult the documents related to the intervention that applies to your project.
- Email all mandatory documents to Prime-Vert@mapaq.gouv.qc.ca.
Processing and Agreement
- Only complete applications that include all mandatory documents are processed.
- If an application is accepted, expenses that meet Prime-Vert criteria and were incurred on or after April 1, 2026 may be considered.
- After the financial assistance agreement is signed, a claim form is provided for project completion.
- At the end of the project, applicants must submit the deliverables required for their selected intervention; invoices and proof of payment may be requested.
- An applicant may request a review of an evaluation decision within 30 days of the date it is communicated.
