Eligible expenses

  • Purchase or modification of equipment and infrastructure related to soil, water, fertilizing, biodiversity, waste, and organic conversion projects
  • Planning and design documents prepared by consultants or engineers, when required for the project
  • Diagnostic and project description work carried out by a consultant, when required for the project

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Projects or expenses outside the listed eligible agri-environmental components
  • Applications that are incomplete or missing the required supporting documents
  • Expenses incurred before April 1, 2026

Selection criteria

  • Alignment with the Sustainable Agriculture Plan 2020-2030.
  • Proven nature of the practice for trials.
  • Compliance with the project’s technical requirements.
  • Quality of the plans, diagnostics, and documents provided.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Review program details
    • Read the full program text and the documents related to the relevant sub-component.
    • Check that the application is complete and includes all mandatory supporting documents.
  • Step 2: Prepare the application package
    • Complete the required application form and any required annexes.
    • Gather the supporting documents requested for the selected project type.
  • Step 3: Send the application
    • Email the complete application package to Prime-Vert@mapaq.gouv.qc.ca.
    • Only complete applications with all mandatory documents are processed.
  • Step 4: Follow up after submission
    • Wait for the evaluation decision from the program administrator.
    • If needed, submit a review request within 30 days using the required form.

  • Applications are reviewed after submission and only complete files are processed.
  • Applicants may be informed of an evaluation decision after review.
  • If a decision is contested, a review request can be filed within 30 days.

Additional information

  • Applications are accepted continuously until funds are exhausted or the next Prime-Vert program is launched.
  • If approved, only expenses incurred from April 1, 2026 may be considered.
  • Incomplete applications will not be processed.
  • A request for review of a decision must be filed within 30 days, using the required form.
