Rôle de Thunder Bay Transit dans l'écosystème du financement
Thunder Bay Transit est un service de transport en commun municipal qui joue un rôle essentiel dans la mobilité des résidents de Thunder Bay. Au-delà des services de transport conventionnels et spécialisés, l'organisation administre un programme de subventions aux transports appelé Affordable Bus Pass Program.
Programme de laissez-passer abordable (Affordable Bus Pass)
Ce programme pilote vise à éliminer les obstacles financiers et à aider les ménages à accéder à des services de transport en commun plus abordables. Les participants admissibles peuvent acheter un laissez-passer mensuel adulte à demi-prix chaque mois. Le programme est administré en partenariat avec le Lakehead Social Planning Council (LSPC).
Critères d'admissibilité généraux
- Résider dans la ville de Thunder Bay
- Avoir un revenu égal ou inférieur aux seuils de revenu établis (basés sur le LICO de Statistique Canada plus 20%)
- Avoir entre 25 et 59 ans
- Ne pas recevoir d'aide au transport par Ontario Works (OW), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) ou le Passport Program
Transparence et reddition de comptes
Le programme publie des limites de revenu détaillées par taille de ménage et utilise des mesures objectives de Statistique Canada pour déterminer l'admissibilité. Les demandes sont approuvées selon le principe du premier arrivé, premier servi.
