Activities funded

Documents Needed

  • A digital copy of the original work
  • A copy of the rights sale contract with the publisher outside Quebec
  • A copy of the distribution agreement, as applicable, either with a distributor when the target market is in Canada outside Quebec, in the case of simultaneous publication, or with a distributor outside Quebec if the applicant distributes the translated work itself
  • A copy of the translation contract or estimate
  • A copy of the contract between the applicant publisher and the original author, plus a signed declaration confirming royalty payments and respect for the translation agreement

  • Submit the application through the secure SOD@ccès electronic portal.

Processing and Agreement

  • A final report must be submitted within three months after the project is completed, and the second payment is conditional on its submission and acceptance.
  • SODEC may require any supporting document related to the revenues and expenses declared by the company.
