- Music and variety show companies
- Audio-visual sector companies
- Book and publishing sector companies
- Artisan craft and art market companies
- Companies working with interactive works in the above fields
Who is not eligible
- Companies not operating in the fields of music and variety (within the cultural sector).
- Companies not legally constituted as a corporation or cooperative in Quebec, or active for less than two years.
- Businesses that have not achieved a minimum annual turnover of $50,000 in the last financial year.
- Companies that have not fulfilled previous obligations to SODEC under this or other SODEC programs.
- Projects involving tours are not eligible for funding under this grant.
Eligible expenses
- Expenses related to promotional activities, press, and advertising (traditional and digital).
- Production costs for promotional material designed for export activities.
- Accreditation fees and space rental costs when there is no collective presence in the targeted market supported by SODEC.
- Fees for external consultants for work performed outside Quebec and for negotiating agreements.
- Legal fees associated with commercial agreements abroad.
- Interpreter fees.
- Radio tracking fees.
- Other relevant and necessary expenses essential to the realization of the project.
- International and local transportation costs in economy class (for business opportunities).
- Accommodation costs in targeted territories (for business opportunities).
Eligible geographic areas
- Companies with their head office established in Quebec.
Additional information
- Applications must be submitted through the SOD@ccès secure electronic portal and include all required documents, which must be current, complete, dated, and signed by authorized individuals.
- The program accepts applications on a rolling basis, but submissions must be made at least 14 days before activities commence.
- Only complete and compliant applications will be considered; incomplete applications will be declared ineligible and must be resubmitted.
- A final report, including a detailed description of activities and a financial summary, is required within three months of project completion for final payment.
