Eligible vehicle list expanded
The list of eligible new electric vehicles was expanded: Nissan Rogue PHEV 2026 Platinum was added, Cadillac Optiq eligibility now includes 2027 versions, and Polestar 2 eligibility now includes 2026 Premium AWD-I. On the program overview page, the Last update date changed from March 25, 2026 to July 3, 2026, and the Plan pour une économie verte 2030 link now points to the English page. Who is eligible?
- Individuals who reside in Québec
- Businesses registered in the Registraire des entreprises that operate and possess an establishment in Québec
- Québec municipalities
- Public bodies established in Québec
Who is not eligible
- Québec government departments, budgetary bodies, government enterprises, the Centre de gestion de l’équipement roulant (CGER), and persons designated by the Assemblée nationale
- Federal departments and agencies defined in Schedules I and I.1 of the Financial Administration Act (R.S.C. 1985, c. F-11)
- Applicants entered in the Registre des entreprises non admissibles aux contrats publics (RENA), including subcontractors entered in the RENA
- Applicants in bankruptcy or insolvency under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act
- Applicants that failed to meet obligations linked to prior Québec government financial assistance, are in litigation with the MELCCFP, or do not satisfy the integrity requirements expected of a public-funds recipient

- Vehicles registered between February 1 and March 31, 2025
- Vehicles registered prior to January 1, 2020
- Vehicles converted to electric motorization
- Vehicles acquired with the aim of reselling or leasing it long term at the time of the transaction

How to apply
- Register for the online services before purchasing your vehicle from a dealer.
- Create your user account, activate it and complete your profile in the program's online services.
- If your dealer is a program partner, authorize them to complete the application and apply the discount to your purchase or lease agreement.
- Otherwise, log in to the online services, create an application for a new vehicle, attach the required documents and submit the application.
- If you are unable to use the online services, you can submit an application by mail with the designated PDF form and the required supporting documents.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed after submission.
- You are notified by email if additional information is required.
- You are notified by email when the application is approved.
- If approved, the rebate is paid through the online services after the final step is completed.
Additional information
- The list of eligible new vehicles is updated regularly based on information provided by automakers on vehicles marketed in Québec.
- Only automakers can submit a request to be added to the list.
- The program’s normative framework has legal value and takes precedence over website information.
- The Gouvernement du Québec may demand repayment of the financial assistance if the recipient fails to comply with the Program’s conditions.
