The Energy-efficient equipment for businesses page now reflects March 31, 2026 program material, including updated Participant’s Guides and Conditions and Undertaking files dated March 2026 and revised transitional rules. The page also adds a new Solar panels measure that requires Hydro-Québec’s official authorization to connect to the grid before applying, and the supported measure set now includes a 15% bonus for combining eligible measures plus up to $5M under the Customized Option. The updated transition text also notes that the Simplified and Customized Option rules now depend on the March 31, 2026 program update, with the prior rule for proposals submitted before June 9, 2020 still marked ineligible. Who is eligible?
- Businesses or organizations located in Québec.
- Small Businesses applicants subject to Rate G or Flex Rate G.
- Medium and Large Businesses applicants subject to another eligible business rate, specifically G9, M, L or LG.
- Partners that submit a project on behalf of a customer who has mandated them for that purpose.
- Aggregators that submit projects on behalf of their customers.
Eligible expenses
- Purchase and installation of equipment and systems to improve energy performance.
- Energy-efficient measures that are not included in the OSE calculation tool, under the Customized Option.

- Eligible municipal or cooperative systems include Coopérative régionale d’électricité de Saint-Jean-Baptiste-de-Rouville, Hydro-Coaticook, Hydro-Joliette, Hydro-Jonquière (Ville de Saguenay), Hydro-Magog, Hydro-Sherbrooke, Hydro Westmount, Service d’électricité de la Ville d’Alma, Service d’électricité de la Ville d’Amos, and Service d’électricité de la Ville de Baie-Comeau.

How to apply
- Use the OSE tool to calculate the financial support you could receive.
- For the Customized Option, send in your project.
- Once the equipment or system is installed, send in your application for financial support using the OSE tool.
- For the Energy Analysis component, download and fill out the energy analysis proposal form and send it to the email address indicated on the form.
- For the Energy Analysis component, complete the analysis and send the report so Hydro‑Québec can confirm compliance and pay the first instalment.
Processing and Agreement
- Hydro‑Québec acknowledges receipt of the project and assesses its compliance.
- Hydro‑Québec may request additional information or other supporting documents and may visit the project site after the notice described in the Conditions and Undertakings.
- Hydro‑Québec approves the project or revises the financial support if the work completed does not comply with the project presented or program requirements.
- For Energy Analysis, Hydro‑Québec pays a first instalment of 40% of eligible costs after confirming the analysis report’s compliance, then pays the remaining 60% once at least one measure from the analysis has been implemented in compliance with program requirements.
- After receipt of a compliant original invoice, Hydro‑Québec pays the approved financial support in about 45 days, if all program requirements are met.

- The OSE tool is a Windows-based PC application used in the Simplified Offer.
- Since March 31, 2026, OSE 6.0 has replaced OSE 5.1.
