  • Financial assistance can reach up to 50 % of eligible expenses for the purchase and installation of charging stations, with a maximum of $5,000 per connector or per wireless charging station.
  • For long-term leasing and installation of stations, funding includes $500 per connector or wireless charging station and 50 % of installation costs, up to a maximum of $5,000 per connector or wireless charging station.
  • In the case of a turnkey charging service, the assistance reaches the lesser of 50 % of eligible expenses or $5,000 per connector or per wireless charging station.
  • The maximum amount of financial assistance allocated per eligible building and per financial year is set at $49,000.

grant_single_labels|admissibility

  • The applicant must be a business registered with the Registraire des entreprises du Québec, a municipality, or an organization established in Quebec.
  • The project must involve the acquisition and installation of workplace charging stations at a building located in Quebec and used for business, municipal, or public organization operations.
  • The applicant may be an organization intending to charge its own electric fleet (not for resale or long-term rental), to provide charging services to employees, or to offer charging access to tenant businesses and their employees.
  • Turnkey charging services providers are eligible if the end-user, building, and charging station usage all meet the program's requirements.
  • The application must be for one or more charging stations included on the program's list of eligible models.
  • The charging stations must be new, Level 2 (208 or 240 volts AC) charging stations, either wired or wireless, meeting all technical specifications outlined by the program.
  • All eligible expenses related to the project must be directly connected to the purchase and installation of the charging stations and must be paid at the time of application (except for ongoing rental costs of the stations).
  • The installation work must be performed while the program is in effect and comply with Quebec construction codes.

Here are additional relevant details for this grant:
  • The program Roulez vert will be temporarily suspended between February 1, 2025, and March 31, 2025, during which no expenses will be eligible for financial aid.
  • All eligible expenses must be fully paid at the time of submitting the financial aid application, except for ongoing lease payments for charging stations.
  • Costs associated with over-sizing electrical infrastructure for future needs are considered eligible expenses if incurred after April 18, 2023.
  • For eligible turnkey charging services, the service provider must submit the application for financial aid on behalf of the client.
  • As of April 2019, offering free charging to employees is not mandatory but is encouraged.
  • The charging stations must remain operational for at least three years after installation, following financial aid approval.
