Eligibility
Who is eligible?
Any business registered in the Quebec Business Register, any municipality, and any public organization with an establishment in Quebec is eligible to apply for this program. However, applicants must not be ministries or budgetary bodies of the Quebec government listed in Annex 1 of the Financial Administration Act, designated persons by the National Assembly, federal ministries or bodies, applicants in litigation with the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks, applicants who have not fulfilled their obligations toward the Ministry, or applicants in bankruptcy or insolvency. The applicant should be the owner or operator of a fleet of road vehicles. Furthermore, the applicant must possess or be in the process of acquiring at least one electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle.
Who is not eligible
This grant excludes certain organizations primarily based on their governmental or legal status. The restrictions are designed to align the grant's objectives with targeted sectors aiming to promote green transportation.
- Ministries or budgetary organizations of the Quebec government mentioned in the annex of the Financial Administration Act.
- Persons designated by the National Assembly.
- Federal ministries or organizations.
- Applicants in litigation with the Ministry of the Environment, the Fight against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks (MELCCFP) or those that have not fulfilled their obligations towards the organization.
- Applicants in situations of bankruptcy or insolvency as defined by the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
- Applicants registered in the companies register that are not eligible for public contracts (RENA).
Eligible expenses
The grant covers expenses related to the acquisition and installation of rapid DC charging stations and associated infrastructure.
- The costs of acquiring an eligible rapid DC charging station.
- The costs for labor and materials necessary for the installation of the charging station and its electrical infrastructure.
- Professional service fees for the design of solutions and the preparation of plans and specifications.
- The costs of acquiring equipment for energy storage or transformation to power electric vehicle charging in emergencies.
- The costs of acquiring equipment or software for managing energy consumption used in electric vehicle charging.
Eligible geographic areas
This grant is available to companies located within certain regions to support specific regional development and sustainability objectives. The eligible entities must be located and registered within the selected areas specified by the funding body.
- Companies registered in the province of Québec, Canada, excluding federal ministries or organizations.
- Municipalities and public organizations with establishments in Québec.
- Entities listed in the Québec business register, excluding those ineligible for public contracts under certain provisions.
