Overview
The Soutien au travail autonome (STA) program offers financial assistance in the form of an employment aid allowance equivalent to the minimum wage for up to 40 weeks to help individuals achieve financial independence by becoming self-employed and to support the development of viable business projects. This program is designed for persons receiving last-resort financial assistance, employment insurance participants, individuals without public income support, and those with precarious employment status.
