- Eligible expenses for specific projects that address a targeted regional problem and support MAPAQ’s strategic objectives.

- Eligible expenses for agricultural innovation projects that test and implement new practices or adapted technologies.
- Eligible expenses for projects supporting the integration of new agricultural producers.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Projects related to recreational cannabis or non-Health Canada-approved cannabis products, except industrial hemp.
- Projects related to additional cannabis products such as food ingredients, processed foods, topical products, concentrates, tinctures, or capsules.
Eligible geographic areas
- Agricultural zone established under the Act on the protection of agricultural land and activities
- Territory of an Indian reserve, Îles-de-la-Madeleine, or the territory east of the Moisie River and Anticosti Island
Selection criteria
- Priority is given to projects that generate the most direct jobs.
- Projects are assessed on the impact they have on the environment.
- Projects must contribute to the results objectives set by the Ministry.
How to apply
- Submit requests in writing to a regional office of the Ministry.
Processing and Agreement
- Admissible requests are analyzed and accepted by the person or committee designated by the regional director until the available credits are exhausted.
- Projects are reviewed under the angle of their impact on the environment.
- The regional directorate may request a written protocol of understanding.
- A refusal decision may be appealed in writing to the Review Committee within 30 days.
