The FABconstruction Stream 1: Business Process Analysis and Action Plan grant offers up to 100 hours of expert support, valued at over $15,000, with company participation costing $6,000, to help modular, prefabricated, and off-site construction businesses in Quebec evaluate and optimize their operational processes. Eligible activities include process diagnostics, identification of improvement areas, and the development of a tailored action plan to enhance productivity, integrate digital technologies, and advance sustainable practices.
Financing terms and conditions
- 100 hours of support from specialists in industrialized construction for $6,000 (value of over $15,000).
Eligible projects & activities
- Analysis of operational processes within modular, prefabricated, and offsite construction companies to identify areas for improvement.
- Creation of tailored action plans with concrete recommendations to optimize business processes and technologies.
- Guidance in the adoption and integration of advanced technologies and digital solutions, such as BIM and industrial automation, to increase productivity.
- Support for the transition to sustainable and low-carbon construction practices through the use of biosourced, recycled, or low-impact materials.
- Training and upskilling of staff and management to enhance technical and strategic capabilities related to industrialized construction and digital transformation.

Eligibility criteria of the FABconstruction – Stream 1 : Business process analysis and action plan program
- The applicant must be a company in Quebec's modular, prefabricated, or offsite construction industry.
- The project must focus on improving operational processes, increasing productivity, or adopting digital, sustainable, or automated technologies.
- The company must be willing to engage in an analysis of its current processes and participate in a tailored action plan with experts.
- Participation is subject to available spots, with a limited number of companies accepted for the program.

- The program is a pilot initiative with a limited number of places (25 companies for Component 1).
- The support is provided by field experts from various specializations (wood, ecoconstruction, mechatronics, etc.).
- A comprehensive and personalized document will be provided at the end of the diagnosis and action plan.
- The project is supported financially by the government of Quebec as part of the Digital Transformation Offensive.
