The Laval Économique Urban Modernization Tax Credit offers up to $1 million per year for a maximum of 48 months to support the modernization and revitalization of industrial parks in Laval. Eligible activities include construction, demolition-rebuilding, renovation, or expansion projects that increase property value by at least 30%.
Financing terms and conditions
- Tax credit available for up to 48 months, capped at $1 million per year.
- The tax credit is calculated as a percentage of the general property value increase after eligible work: 100% for the first year, 75% for the second, 50% for the third, and 25% for the fourth year.
- Higher percentages may apply if the building obtains BOMA BEST, LEED, or Living Building Challenge certification.

Eligibility
- The project must take place within the Centre, East (Saint-Vincent-de-Paul sector) industrial parks, or Biotech City park in Laval.
- The project must involve construction, demolition-rebuilding, renovation, or expansion work.
- The project must result in an increase of at least 30% in the property value of the building.
- The application must be submitted and receive written notification of acceptance before any work begins.
- The project must be completed within three years of notice of compliance or by December 31, 2027, whichever comes first.
