The Enbridge Gas Quebec — Custom-made Project offers up to $75,000 or 40% of the incremental cost for measures that improve natural gas efficiency in production processes, building envelopes, and mechanical systems not covered by other programs. Eligible activities include implementing energy-saving technologies, equipment upgrades, and envelope improvements based on feasibility studies or energy simulations.

- Funding capped at 40% of the incremental cost of the measure.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be a commercial customer of Enbridge Gas Quebec (Gazifère) whose primary heating source is natural gas.
- Projects must involve energy efficiency measures related to natural gas consumption that are not already covered by other Enbridge Gas Quebec programs.
- For existing buildings, proposed measures must be recommended in a feasibility study prepared or validated by a professional engineer; for new buildings, measures must be recommended within an energy simulation.
- Energy savings calculations and project proposals must follow recognized engineering methods and be substantiated with a comparison between baseline and improved scenarios.
Who is eligible?
- Commercial customers of Enbridge Gaz Québec (Gazifère) with natural gas as their primary heating source
Who is not eligible
- Companies whose main source of heating is not natural gas.
- Non-commercial client companies (rate 1) of Gazifère/Enbridge Gaz Québec.
- Organizations applying for measures already eligible for assistance under other distinct equipment programs from Gazifère/Enbridge Gaz Québec.
- Companies presenting measures that do not involve any investment (e.g., behavioral changes only).
- Companies proposing maintenance or replacement measures following a breakdown, repair, or standard renewal.
Eligible expenses
- Incremental costs for the acquisition and installation of energy-efficient natural gas equipment not covered by other Enbridge or Gazifère programs.
- Engineering and material costs directly related to implementing approved energy efficiency measures.
- Costs associated with building envelope and mechanical system upgrades using natural gas, when not already subsidized by other programs.

- Companies located in Quebec and served by Enbridge Gas Quebec (Gazifère).
- Businesses within the service area of Enbridge Gas Quebec/Gazifère, specifically in regions such as Gatineau, Quebec.
Selection criteria
- Measures must target the reduction of natural gas consumption.
- Proposed energy-saving measures must be recommended by a professional engineer (for existing buildings) or included in an energy simulation (for new buildings).
- Natural gas savings must be supported by detailed calculations comparing current or standard reference scenarios to anticipated efficient scenarios, using recognized engineering methods.
- The project must demonstrate that the payback period (PRI) for the measures is at least one year; if not, the financial assistance will be adjusted.
- Measures already covered by another Enbridge Gaz Québec or Gazifère incentive program are not eligible under this component.
