ÉcoPerformance Program supports small energy consumers in Quebec’s business sector with up to $100,000 per measure and up to $250,000 per site annually to convert oil- or propane-fired heating systems to cleaner energy. It funds the purchase, installation and commissioning of new electric or bioenergy heating systems, plus removal and dismantling of existing fossil-fuel equipment.

Documents Needed

  • Formulaire de demande d’aide financière ÉcoPerformance – Conversion du système de chauffage, completed in Excel, sent electronically, signed and dated by the authorized signatory.
  • Photos of the existing fossil-fuel heating system and surrounding area, each fossil-fuel tank and surrounding area, and the nameplate of the existing heating system.
  • The most recent electricity bill, with all pages, including the tariff type and annual summary.
  • Fossil-fuel bills covering the 24 months before the financial assistance application.
  • The property assessment roll for the site, and a proxy if the authorized signatory is not registered at the Registraire des entreprises du Québec as an administrator or a director who is not a member of the board of directors.

How to apply

  • Send the completed Excel application form electronically, signed and dated by the authorized signatory, together with the required photos, bills, and property assessment roll, to transitionenergetique.affaires@environnement.gouv.qc.ca.

Processing and Agreement

  • If the request meets the program criteria, the applicant receives by email the project registration date, the expense eligibility date, the maximum assistance amount, and the payment request form.
  • After the conversion works are completed and the new system is operating, the applicant must submit the payment request signed and dated by an authorized person, with the project invoices and required photos.
  • After document validation, the assistance is recalculated and the final payment is sent.
