    • Prepare a consultant proposal with client input.
  • Step 3: Submit the application package.
    • Send the completed application and consultant proposal to MBO.
  • Step 4: Receive approval and sign the contract.
    • If approved, the consultant receives a contract to sign and return within 10 business days.
  • Step 5: Complete the work and submit closing documents.
    • Submit the final report, invoice, and client evaluation form after completion.

Processing and Agreement

  • The application and consultant proposal are reviewed by MBO staff.
  • If approved, a contract is issued to the consultant.
  • The contract must be signed and returned within 10 business days.
  • After completion, the final report, invoice, and client evaluation form are submitted.
  • MBO then forwards payment to the consultant.

Additional information

  • HST is not reimbursable.
  • An application fee of $150 is required.
  • Consultants must not be the applicant’s employee.
  • Applicants cannot have a conflict of interest with the hired consultant.
