Who is eligible?
To qualify for the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Job Grant, applicants must be a private sector employer, not-for-profit organization, industry association, employer consortia, unions, or an Indigenous government or organization. Additionally, they must be incorporated or a sole proprietor, have a Canada Revenue Agency business number, be in good standing with the Registry of Companies and Deeds, and have an office location in Newfoundland and Labrador. Furthermore, they are required to register in the LaMPSS system to submit applications.Who is not eligible

How to apply

- Create an account in the Labour Market Programs Support System (LaMPSS) to be able to apply online for the grant.
- Obtain a password and user ID after registration.
- Step 2: Review Application Requirements

- Step 3: Complete Online Application
- Fill out and submit the online application form available in LaMPSS.

- Attach a letter of Attestation as outlined in the grant eligibility requirements.
- Step 4: Monitor Application Status
- Log in to your LaMPSS account regularly to check the status of your application agreement.
- Applicants will receive notification via email regarding the decision on their application within 30 business days.

Here are additional relevant details for this grant:
- The program has been temporarily suspended due to a reduction in federal funding.
- Employers are encouraged to explore alternative employment and training programs through the Employment and Training Program Division.
- Once the program is reactivated, employers will need to contribute at least one-third towards the training costs, except for unemployed participants.
- The system used for application submission and progress tracking is LaMPSS.
- Notifications on application decisions are made via email within 30 business days of submission.
