Eligibility criteria of the Apprenticeship Wage Subsidy program

- The employer must be an incorporated business or a sole proprietorship registered to conduct business in Newfoundland and Labrador.
- The employer must be in good standing with the Newfoundland and Labrador Registry of Companies and Deeds.

- The employer must have a signed Memorandum of Understanding with the department, confirming that they have a qualified journeyperson on site in the appropriate trade.
- The employer must be able to offer relevant work experience to the apprentice as required by the Institutional and Industrial Training Division.
