• Costs incurred before the investment agreement is signed

• Payments to US-based vendors without prior written consent

• Step 1: Connect with a Technology Development Advisor
• Identify a project and strategic partner
• Discuss program fit and readiness
• Step 2: Register and submit online application
• Register on the Alberta Innovates portal
• Submit the application with the signed Strategic Partner Letter of Interest
• Step 3: Sign agreement if approved
• Execute the agreement with Alberta Innovates
• Follow milestone and outcome reporting requirements

• Applications are reviewed by Alberta Innovates staff and external expert reviewers
• Applications are assessed against program objectives and intended outcomes
• Funding decisions are at Alberta Innovates' sole discretion
