How to apply

Prepare for application
- Review the initiative overview and eligibility requirements

Submit Expression of Interest
- Complete the Expression of Interest (EOI) form
- Describe the project's objectives and expected genomics-based outcomes
- Detail the multidisciplinary approach and involved stakeholders

- Wait for notification regarding selection for the full application stage
- If selected, receive invitation to submit a complete application

Submit full application
- Prepare and complete the full application as per the provided guidelines

Await funding decision
- Wait for notice of awards following application review

Additional information
- An information session is scheduled for June 23, 2025, at 9:00 AM MDT via virtual participation.
- Applicants will be required to briefly describe limitation(s) in the energy sector addressed, the genomics-based output proposed, multidisciplinary approach, and impact metrics in their Expression of Interest.
- The initiative promotes an open science approach for enhanced data sharing and interoperability.
- Notice of awards is expected in October 2025, with funding flows beginning January 2026.
