Latest change: The participant funding content now shows the broader CNSC program structure with current opportunities, eligibility rules, eligible expenses, and application steps instead of only the Port Hope opportunity.
Participant Funding Program content updated
The Participant Funding Program content now presents the broader CNSC program page, including a current open opportunity for Ontario Power Generation’s Western Waste Management Facility licence renewal with a maximum amount of $200,000 and an application period from March 25 to June 16, 2026. The earlier Port Hope Project opportunity with its March 7 to May 6, 2022 window and up to $75,000 is no longer the active focus of the main page. The page also now spells out who can apply, ineligible applicants, eligible expenses, the steps to apply, and the 45-business-day decision timing, while the contact point is reduced to the Participant Funding Program Administrator email address.
