Eligibility
Who is eligible?
- Individuals or organizational representatives.
- Not-for-profit organizations, if one person in the group assumes individual responsibility for signing the contribution agreement and carrying out all terms of the agreement.

- Applicants with a direct commercial interest in the project.
- People who work for the project proponent.

Selection criteria
- Available funding is distributed among successful applicants based on the merit of their proposals.
How to apply
- Consult the PFP funding opportunities to find the project description and access the project-specific application form.
- Complete the project-specific PFP application form using the instructions provided in that form.
- Review, sign, and date the form, keep a copy for your records, and submit it to the CNSC’s PFP Administrator by email, fax, or mail.
Processing and Agreement
- The PFP administrator will normally notify applicants within one business day of receiving the application.
- An independent funding review committee reviews the application and recommends whether the funding request should be approved, including the amount and any objectives to be met.
- The PFP administrator notifies applicants of the final decision within 25 business days of the application closing date.
- Successful applicants receive a contribution agreement from the CNSC.
- Funding payments are issued after the recipient meets the contribution agreement objectives, submits a final financial report, and completes a recipient survey; receipts and invoices are required only if the maximum funding exceeds $30,000 or when requested by the CNSC, and receipts should be retained for at least 3 years.
