Participant Funding Program updated for a new opportunity
The Participant Funding Program content now shows a different open opportunity for Ontario Power Generation’s application to renew its licence for the Western Waste Management Facility, with a maximum amount of $200,000 and an application period from March 25 to June 16, 2026. Compared with the former 2019 Canadian Nuclear Laboratories decision notice, the visible content now includes new who-can-apply and ineligible-applicant rules, a revised list of eligible expenses, updated application instructions, and new post-application and payment terms, including payment within 30 days of a valid final financial report.

Selection criteria

  • Applications are awarded a portion of the available funding based on the merit of the application

How to apply

  • Open the application form for the funding opportunity
  • Complete the form and follow the instructions in the form and the Participant Funding Program guide
  • Submit the signed application as described in the guide

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by a Funding Review Committee
  • Applicants will be informed of the outcome within 45 business days of the application closing date, or if there is no closing date, following receipt of a funding application
  • Successful applicants receive a contribution agreement
  • Funding is paid after recipients meet the objectives in their contribution agreement and submit a final financial report
  • Payment is made within 30 days of receipt of a valid final financial report
