Latest change: The participant funding page shifted from the 2017 uranium mines and mills report opportunity to a new 2026 opportunity for Ontario Power Generation’s Western Waste Management Facility, with updated eligibility, application steps, and funding details.
Participant funding opportunity updated
The main participant funding page now shows a different open opportunity: Ontario Power Generation’s application to renew its licence for the Western Waste Management Facility, with a maximum amount of $200,000 and an application period from March 25 to June 16, 2026. The previous 2017 uranium mines and mills report opportunity, including its $35,000 funding notice and August 22, 2017 deadline, is no longer the active opportunity shown on the page. The page also now spells out who can apply, who is ineligible, what expenses may be covered, and how to apply, including the email-only inquiry contact at pfp@cnsc-ccsn.gc.ca and the post-application review and payment steps. The supporting resources page also changed by removing the sample recipient survey and sample consent letter, which narrows the document guidance available to applicants.
