Funding for participation in CNSC processes
Latest source update
Last Update: July 12, 2026
Latest change: The former 2019 regulatory oversight report opportunity was replaced by a generic Participant Funding Program page showing a different 2026 open opportunity, updated eligibility, application steps, and funding details.
View change
Participant Funding opportunity replaced with 2026 PFP page
The main opportunity page no longer describes the 2019 Regulatory Oversight Report for Canadian Nuclear Power Generating Sites and now presents the Participant Funding Program with an open 2026 opportunity for Ontario Power Generation’s application to renew its licence for the Western Waste Management Facility. The visible open window is March 25 to June 16, 2026, and the maximum amount shown is $200,000. The scope, who can apply, eligible expenses, and application instructions were rewritten to generic program-level guidance, including who-can-apply and who-cannot-apply rules, a 45-business-day decision standard, and submission steps through the program guide and application form. Contact information was also simplified to the Participant Funding Program Administrator at pfp@cnsc-ccsn.gc.ca.
