Latest change: The participant funding content now shows a current program with a 2026 opportunity, broader applicant rules, updated application steps, and a $200,000 maximum amount.
Participant Funding Program updated
The Participant Funding Program content now shows a current opportunity list instead of the former 2016 call for the Regulatory Oversight Report on the Use of Nuclear Substances in Canada: 2015. The visible opportunity is open from March 25 to June 16, 2026, with a maximum amount of $200,000, and payment is now described as being made within 30 days after a valid final financial report is received. The applicant rules, eligible expenses, and submission instructions were expanded and rewritten: eligible applicants now include individuals or organizational representatives with defined local, Indigenous, or project-relevant interests, while for-profit organizations, direct commercial interests, and people who work for the project proponent are ineligible. The process now requires applying through the opportunity form and guide, while the earlier email, mail, and fax submission instructions were removed; the resources page also dropped the sample consent letter and sample recipient survey.
