Who is eligible?
- Tout artiste de la francophonie canadienne.- Maisons de gérance impliquées dans la promotion d'artistes francophones minoritaires.- Maisons de disques qui soutiennent un artiste ou un groupe d'artistes répondant aux critères.- Producteur ou productrice de spectacles ayant des projets avec des artistes ciblés.- Tout événement ou organisme représentant la francophonie canadienne.Les artistes francophones des communautés en situation minoritaire, dont le dernier album ou EP a été commercialisé dans les 36 derniers mois et soutenu par le Fonds de la musique du Canada, ont notamment une priorité automatique. Des artistes sans financement précédent peuvent aussi être admissibles s’ils ont un album ou un EP à venir dans les 6 prochains mois et ont été sélectionnés dans le cadre d'un projet soutenu par Musicaction.Les demandeurs doivent être l’artiste ou son représentant. Aussi, les artistes venant de la province où se déroule l'événement peuvent déposer une demande.
Who is not eligible
This grant excludes certain organizations based on specific criteria to ensure alignment with its objectives. Below, restrictions are primarily focused on the project's nature and previous financial support.
- Organizations that are currently in default of payment obligations.
- Entities applying to both FACTOR and Musicaction simultaneously for the same project.
Eligible expenses
Eligible expenses under this grant are those incurred as part of the event participation and presentation, focusing primarily on artist support and promotion.
- Promotion expenses related to the event or showcase.
- Artist fees (cachets).
- Accommodation costs, with a maximum of $150 per night in Canada and $300 per night abroad, or up to $50 for non-commercial lodging.
- Transportation expenses, including air travel at economy class rates, train or bus fare up to a class above economy if available, car rental (intermediate series), gas, and per kilometer rate for private vehicles ($0.55 or $0.50 per kilometer depending on application date).
- Carbon offset credits purchased for air travel.
- Per diem allowances for meals, local transportation, and incidentals at a maximum of $200 per day.
