Eligibility
Who is eligible?
- Show producers.
- Agents or managers representing developing artists who are not represented by a show producer and who have been previously admitted to one of the two main programs.
Eligible expenses
- For a performance held in Fermont or Îles-de-la-Madeleine, 75% of travel costs up to $750 per person for artists, musicians, sound and lighting technicians, tour directors, and instrument handlers.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Performances offered free to the public, without ticketing, or accessible only through the purchase of a passport, except when they take place in festivals supported by the CALQ or in the SODEC program d’aide aux événements culturels.
- Fundraising events, charitable events, and corporate shows.
- Showcases and online show diffusion.
- Single-performance shows and large-scale productions.
- Tribute shows and musical comedies whose intellectual property is not Quebec-based.
How to apply
- Submit the request through the secure SOD@ccès portal.
- Complete one request per show using program number 30-60-00.
- Submit the first request once the minimum of 10 eligible performances, including 8 more than 30 km from the tour departure point, has been reached.
- File subsequent performances in the follow-up task of the same request.
- Submit each request after the performances have taken place and according to the deposit calendar.
Processing and Agreement
- The payment modalities are set out in the signed convention.
- The remote-region bonus is paid once the show has been presented in a minimum of three remote regions.
- For a performance in Fermont or Îles-de-la-Madeleine, the travel-cost amount is paid with the corresponding period.
- First-act amounts are paid with period 4.
- Payments remain conditional on available funds and sufficient appropriations by the National Assembly.
Additional information
- Applications must be submitted after the performances have taken place.
- Only complete applications with the required documents are accepted.
- The same artist’s performances must be filed within the program’s deposit periods.
