Artistic co-productions of new works or exhibitions in collaboration with foreign arts organizations resulting in a public presentation or publication are eligible for this grant. Financial co-productions by Canadian performing arts presenters and festivals investing in new works by foreign artists resulting in a public presentation in Canada are also eligible.

Evaluation & selection criteria
There are evaluation and selection criteria for this grant. The assessment will consider the following factors:
- Artistic merit and impact of the proposed project
- Strength of the project's collaborative and international components
- Feasibility and clarity of the project plan and budget
- Demonstrated need for Canada Council's support
- Capacity and track record of the applicant to complete the project successfully
