Eligibility

- Record label or sound recording producer: The applicant must have released two sound recordings in the two years preceding the application, unless exceptions apply.
- Management company: The applicant must be authorized to negotiate international license, co-publishing, or distribution agreements for two albums marketed in Canada by their artists, unless exceptions apply.
- Show producer: The applicant must hold production contracts for shows with at least two artists whose albums have been marketed in Canada in the two years preceding the application, unless exceptions apply.
- Publishing house: The applicant must have published at least twenty-five Canadian titles commercialized in Canada, including eight in the twelve months preceding the application, unless exceptions apply.
- Event or organization in Quebec and the Canadian Francophonie that was supported in the "Initiatives collectives" component within the two years preceding the application.
- Companies benefiting from a global funding envelope in the "Individual Initiatives" component are not eligible.
Who is eligible?
Publishing houses, events or organizations in Quebec, events or organizations from the Canadian Francophonie, management companies, record labels, sound recording producers, and concert producers can apply. However, companies receiving global funding in the Individual Initiatives stream are not eligible. Applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria according to their category, such as having released certain numbers of sound recordings, sub-publishing or distribution agreements, or having edited a specific number of Canadian titles. These requirements are more stringent for Canadian Francophone vocal music aimed at European Francophone markets, although other music categories may apply with proof of tangible career development opportunities in the target territory.

- Kilometric allowance for personal vehicle use at specified rates depending on the submission date.
- Per diem allowances for meals, local transport, and incidentals: $100/day for national travel and $200/day for international travel.

How to apply

Complete the application form
- Download and fill out the application form in Excel format from the program page.
- Name the file according to the format: Applicant – City (YY-MM) – DE.
- Sign the Declarations tab of the form.

- Obtain confirmation of three professional meetings, if required.
- Gather contracts and relevant documents according to the category of your organization (e.g., recording contracts for record labels, track lists for publishing houses).
- Include a copy of the flight tickets, if available.

Submit the request
- Send the application by email to the address: inscription@musicaction.ca.
- Attach all required documents to support the application.

Completion of the project
- Submit the completion within 2 months following the relocation to the address para@musicaction.ca.
- Complete the completion form in Excel format, including a summary of income and expenses, a summary table of expenses, and an activity report.
- Provide the supporting documents requested by the administration, such as invoices and proof of payment.

Keep the documents
Keep a copy of the original invoices and proof of payment for 5 years after the end of the project.
