Eligibility
- Any underemployed Ontarian with a minimum grade 10 education can apply.
- Good judgement, interpersonal and communication skills are also required.
- You do not need a background in health care to get a job.
- We are also hiring regulated and unregulated health professionals, as well as internationally trained professionals who are legally authorized to work in Canada.
- A Vulnerable Sector Check is also required.
Selection criteria
There are evaluation and selection criteria for this grant. The criteria are detailed below:
- Minimum Grade 10 education
- Good judgement, interpersonal, and communication skills
- No background in health care required
- Regulated and unregulated health professionals eligible
- Internationally trained professionals legally authorized to work in Canada can apply
- Successful completion of online learning modules
- Vulnerable Sector Check required
- COVID-19 testing before starting work and every two weeks
- Response to emergency situations readiness
- Selected by Wilson HCG after phone interview
How to apply

Submit your application, which will start the process of becoming a part of the health care system. Implication: You will be considered for a position to help seniors in long-term care homes.

Complete a short, phone-based interview with Wilson HCG. Implication: This interview helps determine your suitability for the position.

Begin an online learning module that takes approximately 15 hours to complete. Implication: This module is part of your training and must be finished within a week.

Provide a Vulnerable Sector Check and update your immunizations if necessary. Implication: These checks are required for the safety and security of the residents.
5
Provide contact information for three professional references. Implication: Your references will be contacted to verify your qualifications.
