Eligibility

  • The applicant must be either an Indigenous business or organization (First Nations/Metis/Inuit), a municipality or a municipal organization, or a non-profit organization located in Northern Ontario.
  • The organization and the young intern must be located in Northern Ontario.
  • A work plan as well as mentoring or supervision arrangements must be in place.
  • The organization must demonstrate networking opportunities for the intern and present a plan for maintaining employment after the internship.
  • The recruitment, interview, and hiring processes used must be fair and transparent.

  • Costs for equipment and materials necessary for project implementation
  • Professional services fees for specialized expertise
