Écorecharge multiple-dwelling eligibility and application updates
The multiple-dwelling eligibility pages now say that, for electrical infrastructure upgrade projects, eligibility is based on when the work began rather than the construction date. For triplex and quadruplex projects, the work to install electrical infrastructure dedicated to charging stations must have begun before October 1, 2018, and the five-or-more-unit rule now refers to work begun after October 17, 2027 instead of September 26, 2026. Application support pages were also expanded: the infrastructure-upgrade document checklist now requires proof of the number of private units and the number of parking spaces reserved for residents, plus a plan of the parking area showing the spaces covered by the upgrade project. The where-to-start and mail-application pages also added or revised help and submission links, and the paper-mail destination postal code changed to H7G 4Y2; the grant amount on the main program remains up to $5,000.
