Documents Needed
- A document proving the applicant's legal status, attached as an annex
- The most recent financial statements, audited if available, for requests of 20,000 $ or more
- A signed contribution letter from the pan-Canadian co-applicant when a Quebec organization applies with one
- For Volet I, the list of organizations to be met during the exploratory mission, with a short description of their mandate and the reasons for the partnership
- Signed authorization from the applicant's manager and, when applicable, the co-applicant's manager, plus supporting documents confirming other government subsidies when applicable

- Ministries and government organizations
- Enterprises registered in the Registre des entreprises non admissibles aux contrats publics
- Authorized or registered political parties, recognized party instances, and political education organizations
- Applicants that did not comply with previous accountability obligations or with the Charte de la langue française
Eligible expenses
- Stay costs, including accommodation and meals
- Travel and interprovincial transport in Canada, including local transport within a province
- Registration fees for colloquiums, conferences, and congresses
- Communication and promotion costs directly related to the activity
- Equipment or venue rental, material or equipment purchases, salaries and fees for project staff, administration costs, and expert fees in Volet II
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- General operating expenses of the organization, except honoraria and salaries of regular employees directly assigned to the project, and expenses already financed by budgetary rules of a Quebec ministry or government body
- Property purchase or construction, renovation of premises, debt financing or repayment, and purchase of movable goods
- Travel and stay outside Canada, first-class or business-class travel, travel to unapproved destinations, loyalty point redemption, cell phone/data/wireless charges, vaccination costs, and travel insurance
- Artist fees, banquet costs, and alcohol
- Expenses incurred before application submission

Selection criteria
- The project's relevance, including alignment with program objectives, innovation, originality, effects in Canadian Francophonie, effects in Quebec, and effects for the sector concerned
- For Volet I, the number and relevance of organizations met and the precision about the potential partnership; for Volet II, the qualifications of the expert and the relevance of the event; for Volet III and IV, the quality of collaboration between partners
- The quality of the application, including clarity of objectives, activities, timeline, and supporting documents
- The quality of the financial plan, including realistic budgeting, diversified funding sources, and the applicant and co-applicant contributions
- The capacity and visibility of the project, including organizational credibility, relevant experience, team competence, number of people reached, and visibility for the Government of Quebec and francophone cultures
How to apply
- Submit the application on the online Francophonie canadienne grants platform
- In the electronic application form, on tab 3 Appel à projets, select Appel à projets Québec-Yukon
- In the budget forecast form, indicate the amounts requested from each government
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed on the basis of the submitted information and, where relevant, advice from the concerned Quebec offices and sectoral ministries
- For intergovernmental cooperation files, assessment is carried out by a committee made up of representatives of the relevant provincial or territorial government and the SQRC
- If an application is incomplete, it is returned and must be completed within a reasonable time to remain under review
- Funding recipients must report significant project changes quickly, obtain prior approval for major changes, and may have to provide supporting documents at any time
- Final reports are due within three months after project end, and multi-year projects also require annual progress reports
