Activities funded
- Exploratory missions to establish contacts with a view to developing a joint project.
- Knowledge-transfer activities in French in Quebec or in another province or territory.
- Partnerships and exchange projects between an organization from Quebec and an organization from another province or territory.
- Establishment and strengthening of collaboration and exchange structures or networks, support for the provision of services in French, and training activities in French.
- Activities to promote French, Francophone cultures and Canadian Francophonie, mobility projects, and other collaborations between organizations from Quebec and the Canadian Francophonie.
Documents Needed
- Full contact details of the applicant and co-applicant(s), where applicable, including mailing and email addresses, legal status and registration number.
- Authorization from an officer of the applicant organization and from an officer of the co-applicant organization (where applicable), together with a commitment attesting to the accuracy of the information provided.
- A copy of the applicant's most recent financial statements, audited if available, for any financial assistance request to the SQRC equivalent to or greater than 20 000 $.
- Depending on the component, the list of organizations to be met during an exploratory mission, the description of the event related to the knowledge transfer, or a signed letter confirming the contribution of the pan-Canadian organization.
- Confirmation of grants from other government sources, specifying their origin if applicable.
Eligibility
Who is eligible?
- Duly registered Canadian organizations whose head office is located in Quebec, another province, or a territory.
- Non-profit organizations.
- Businesses.
- Public or parapublic organizations, except ministries and budget-funded bodies.
- Municipalities.
Who is not eligible
- Individuals.
- Ministries, budget-funded bodies and Crown corporations, as well as corporations controlled directly or indirectly by a provincial, federal or territorial government or by a Crown corporation.
- Organizations of the Government of Quebec or of other governments in Canada.
- Authorized or registered political parties, bodies recognized by electoral authorities, political education organizations and artist agents.
- Organizations registered with the RENA, those that have failed to meet their obligations after formal notice, those that do not meet integrity requirements, or those that do not comply with the Charter of the French language.
Eligible expenses
- Accommodation expenses, including lodging and meals.
- Travel and interprovincial transportation costs in Canada, as well as local transportation within a province.
- Communication and promotional expenses directly related to the activity.
- Equipment or premises rental costs, material or equipment purchases, and registration fees.
- Fees paid to people hired for the project and administration costs.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Projects limited exclusively to a one-way artistic performance in a festival or professional broadcasting context.
- Projects consisting mainly of hiring a consulting firm or purchasing services.
- Projects already supported by the Research Support Program or by the SQRC Canadian Relations Support Program.
- Projects that only marginally meet the program objectives.
- Projects mainly related to international Francophonie or of a religious or political nature.

Selection criteria
- Relevance of the project: alignment with the program objectives, innovative character and originality, effects in the Canadian Francophonie, effects in Quebec and effects for the sector or sectors concerned; for component I, number and relevance of the organizations met.
- Applicant's ability to carry out the project: credibility of the organizations involved, relevant experience, competence of the implementation team and financial capacity when the aid requested is equivalent to or greater than 20 000 $.
- Quality of the application: clarity of the project and objectives, clarity of the activities, feasibility, precision of the schedule and quality of the documentation.
- Quality of the financial structure: realism of the budget forecasts, diversity of funding sources, allocation of resources and extent of the applicant's and co-applicant's contribution, where applicable.
- Project visibility: number of people reached, impact for the Government of Quebec and impact on the image of the Canadian Francophonie.
How to apply
- Go to the SQRC Grants portal and click Sign in / Register.
- Create an account, then your personal profile.
- Create the organization profile if you are authorized to do so.
- Link your individual profile to the organization.
- In the Apply for a grant section, select the program, then choose “Quebec–New Brunswick Project Call” in the 3.
- Submit the application on the Canadian Francophonie grants platform between the 4 and the 28 May 2026.
Processing and Agreement
- The SQRC assesses projects based on the information provided in the application and, if necessary, the advice of the relevant Quebec offices in Canada and Quebec sector ministries.
- For component V, the assessment is entrusted to a committee made up of representatives of the relevant provincial or territorial government and the SQRC.
- Applications that do not meet the requirements are sent back to the applicant for correction before analysis.
- The target processing time is 60 business days between receipt of a compliant and complete application and the sending of a response letter.
- A final report must be produced no later than 3 months after the project end date.

- The program has four mutually exclusive components that make it possible to distinguish funded projects according to their maturity and scope.
