Who is eligible?
- Professional artists from all disciplines supported by the CALQ
- Independent curators recognized in visual arts, arts and crafts, architectural research, digital arts, and film and video art
- Canadian citizens or landed immigrants who normally reside in Quebec and have resided there for at least the preceding 12 months
Who is not eligible
- Applicants who have resided outside Quebec for two or more years, unless they have maintained their status as Quebec residents.
- Shareholders of a corporation, partners in a partnership, or employees of a non-profit organization, for projects that are part of the activities of that company or organization.
Eligible expenses
- Living expenses, including accommodation and per diem, up to $200 per day per participant
- Travel expenses
- Shipping expenses for equipment or works, including insurance
- Equipment rentals
- Promotion and publicity expenses not paid by the host organization, agency expenses, and administration expenses up to 10% of the total project cost

- Capital expenditures and travel or living expenses already covered by aid from public or private organizations or other funding sources
Selection criteria
- Artistic evaluation of the project represents 100% of the score.
- Quality of artistic work counts for 40%.
- Interest and relevance of the project counts for 60%, including benefits for the applicant and participating artists, scope of dissemination, suitability of partners and hosting structures, and the host organization’s commitment.
- Administrative evaluation uses the ratings Excellent, Very good, Satisfactory, With reservations, and Weak; each administrative criterion must be rated at least Satisfactory to receive financial aid.
- Administrative evaluation covers artist remuneration and project management, including the feasibility of the work plan and budget, diversity of revenue sources, and the significance of partners’ financial contribution.

Processing and Agreement
- The CALQ will email you an acknowledgement of receipt.

- If your application is accepted, the confirmation letter includes a document outlining the terms and conditions for using the grant.
