Who is eligible?
- Individuals residing in Québec who own or long-term lease a fully electric vehicle, a plug-in hybrid vehicle, or an electric motorcycle.
- Applicants with a new or used eligible electric vehicle.
- Businesses, municipalities, and organizations in Québec, subject to program conditions.
- A business may apply for a charging station installed at an employee’s residence when the vehicle is owned by the business.
Who is not eligible
- Applicants who already received a government incentive for a charging station linked to the same electric vehicle and have only moved to a new residence.
Eligible expenses
- The purchase cost of an eligible charging station, before taxes.
- The long-term lease cost of an eligible charging station, based on the total of all monthly payments.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Delivery fees, accessories, replacement parts, operating fees, maintenance costs, and extended warranties.
- GST and QST.
- Installation fees, including pedestals and work on the home’s electrical infrastructure such as wiring, buried cables, panel upgrades, new panels, or outlet installation.
- Used charging stations, including demonstration units resold after use.
- Expenses incurred before January 1, 2024, or for a home charging station acquired and installed between February 1 and March 31, 2025.

How to apply
- Prepare electronic copies of the required supporting documents, or photos where permitted.
- Log in to the Roulez vert and Écorecharge online services, or create a user account if needed.
- Under My applications, create an application and select Charging station.
- Enter the required information in the Vehicle and Charging station tabs, then upload all required documents in the Documents tab.
- Save the application and submit it to the administrator.
- If you cannot use the online services, complete and sign the paper form and mail it with copies of all required supporting documents.
Processing and Agreement
- If additional information is needed, you will be notified by email.
- You must log in to your online file to make any requested corrections.
- Once approved, you will be notified by email.
- You must enter your SIN in the online services before the payment is issued.
- The reimbursement is sent by cheque by mail.
Additional information
- The Roulez vert and Écorecharge programs share the same online services platform.
- Once logged in, the Écorecharge program’s online services are available in French only.
- Revenu Québec requires the government to issue an RL-27 slip when financial assistance is paid.
- Financial assistance received for personal purposes is usually non-taxable, while assistance received for operating a business, an organization, or a property must be deducted from the acquired property’s capital cost for capital cost allowance calculations.
