Eligibility
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for the Film and Video Individual Project Funding, applicants must be Alberta residents who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or Protected Persons, with a primary residency in Alberta for at least one year before applying. Applicants should represent diverse communities, including Indigenous peoples, racialized communities, and members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Applicants must also be in good standing with the Alberta Foundation for the Arts (AFA), ensuring all previous projects have been completed and reports are approved before applying for new funding. Ensembles, collectives, and collaborations are eligible, provided all members meet individual eligibility criteria. The principal artists involved cannot apply for or receive funding for multiple projects simultaneously, whether individually or as part of multiple groups, and applicants must not be incorporated under provincial or federal legislation.
