How to apply
- Step 1: Register in GATE
- First-time applicants request a username and password by email.
- Provide your legal name, funding opportunity, and email address.
- Step 2: Complete the online application
- Fill in the required forms in GATE Front Office.
- Include project details, co-owners, expenses, and revenues.
- Step 3: Upload support material
- Attach the required documents and project support material.
- Use the email or mail options for files that cannot be uploaded.
- Step 4: Submit before the deadline
- Send the application through GATE by 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time.
- Ensure the application is complete before submission.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by an expert panel.
- Panel recommendations go to the AFA board for final approval.
- Successful applicants are notified after board approval, usually in four to six months.
- Funding is not guaranteed for any project.
- Final reporting is required after the project.
