Processing and Agreement
- The MELCCFP reviews the submitted plan for compliance with the program guidelines.
- If approved, the Ministry sends an approval letter and may include recommendations.
- The plan must then be adopted by the council within 3 months of the approval letter.
- Approved plans and related documents may be made public.
Additional information
- Municipalities are required to make the climate plan publicly available electronically and free of charge within one year of its completion.
- Beneficiaries must retain all project administrative and financial documents, as well as data collected during plan development, for at least ten years.
- Plans and supporting documentation must comply with the methodologies and guidelines outlined by the responsible ministries.
- Guidance and methodological support are provided by recognized organizations such as the Fédération québécoise des municipalités, Union des municipalités du Québec, and Réseau Environnement.
