- Administrative costs, up to 15% of total project costs

- Rebatable taxes such as PST, GST, or HST
- Land and building purchases, including related real estate fees
- Loan interest and financing charges
- Costs already reimbursed by another federal program
- Costs incurred before approval or after the final claim date
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed after submission and applicants are informed of the funding decision.
- Transport Canada may accept or reject any project proposal.
- A risk assessment is completed before the funding agreement is signed.
- The funding agreement sets the project scope, reporting requirements, and payment structure.
- No reimbursements are paid until the funding agreement is signed and its requirements are met.
