Receive up to $2 million funding to cover up to 70% of expenses to support projects involving packaging and recycling or recycling only of beverage containers in Quebec, including the optimization, expansion or implementation of structured reuse networks.
grant_single_labels|terms_and_conditions
Recyc-Québec provides a structured funding approach to support projects focused on the reuse, conditioning, or recycling of beverage containers. Financial support is distributed in staggered payments contingent on specific project milestones and criteria.
- The financial aid is provided in three installments: an initial payment of 50%, a second payment of 25%, and a final payment of 25%, conditional on the achievement of project objectives and the submission of necessary documentation.
- The first 50% installment is disbursed after the financial assistance agreement is signed, necessary authorizations are obtained, and confirmations of other funding sources are submitted.
- The second 25% installment is disbursed upon approval of a mid-project report, submission of sales and material quantity data (if required), and provision of verified financial documentation.
- The final 25% installment is contingent upon obtaining a "Mise en œuvre" recognition from the ICI ON RECYCLE + program, submitting final project reports, and compliance with all reporting and verification requirements.
- There is a stipulation that public funding, including both provincial and federal grants, must not exceed 80% of the total project cost, excluding municipal contributions.
- Admissible expenses include salaries directly involved in the project, equipment purchases, specialized subcontractor fees, and construction or modification costs up to 25% of admissible expenditures.
- Inadmissible expenses include those incurred prior to project acceptance, non-project related expenses, communications costs, legal fees, taxes, and certain external validation costs.
- All projects must be completed within 18 months following the finalization of the financial aid agreement or the receipt of necessary authorizations, with provisions for extension subject to Recyc-Québec's discretion.
- RECYC-QUÉBEC reserves the right to impose additional conditions based on an evaluation of project performance and financial health.
