The Circular Initiatives Awards recognize outstanding circular economy projects in Quebec, celebrating initiatives that transform business models and resource use to accelerate the province’s transition to a circular economy. The program highlights and rewards innovative products, services, or collaborations that demonstrate measurable environmental, social, and economic impacts; no direct funding amount is specified, as the reward consists of recognition, visibility, and participation in major circular economy events.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be an organization based in Quebec.
- The organization must have at least one ongoing initiative related to the circular economy at the time of application.
- The initiative must be a product, service, business strategy, or collaboration that integrates at least one of the twelve recognized circular economy strategies.
- The organization must create a member profile on the Québec Circulaire platform and fully complete the initiative submission form, including indicating participation in the Circular Initiatives Awards.
Who is eligible?
- Start-up organizations
- Small businesses (for-profit, fewer than 50 employees)
- Medium and large businesses (for-profit, 50 or more employees)
- Municipalities, institutions, and government organizations (public or parapublic)
- Non-profit organizations, cooperatives, and associations
- Research-action teams (comprising at least one researcher and a field partner)
Eligible geographic areas
- Organizations based in Quebec.
Selection criteria
- Leverage effect within Quebec.
- Positive environmental, social, and economic impacts.
- Adherence to the principles of the circular economy and relevance of the initiative to accelerate the transition, including upstream strategies to reduce the consumption of virgin resources at the source.
- Quality of the application.
- Innovative character of the initiative and its viability over time.
