Eligibility
Who is eligible?
- Incorporated non-profit arts organizations.
- Non-dividend artist cooperatives.
- Organizations in street performance, circus arts, digital arts, dance, literature, music, theater, visual arts, and multidisciplinary arts.
Who is not eligible
- Organizations incorporated as general or limited partnerships.
- Individual artists and artists’ collectives.
- Public or para-public organizations representing governments or municipal corporations.
- Organizations dedicated to teaching, education, or professional training.
- Organizations working exclusively in variety arts and/or comedy.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Promotional or commercial sound recording projects.
- Film, video or web production projects, including promotional video clips.
- Capital projects and specialized equipment purchases.
- Projects mainly focused on training, internships, or masterclasses.
- Projects mainly for promotional showcases or national/international prospecting.
Eligible geographic areas
- Island of Montréal
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by peer evaluation committees.
- Decisions are based on merit and available budgets.
- Applicants are notified by email and must check results on ORORA.
- Approved organizations must complete an end-of-project report on ORORA within four months after the project ends.
Additional information
- Three calls for applications are scheduled each year.
- Decisions are issued about fourteen to sixteen weeks after the deadline.
- Applications are submitted through the ORORA platform.
- An end-of-project report must be filed on ORORA within four months of the project end.
