Eligibility
- The applicant must be a for-profit small or medium-sized enterprise in Manitoba that produces an exportable product or service.
- Annual revenue in the current or previous fiscal year must be at least $100,000 to a maximum of $50 million.
- More than half of the workforce must reside in Manitoba.
- The company must be registered and in good standing with the Companies Office, holding an active and valid Business Number, and have a permanent establishment in Manitoba.
- The applicant must incur expenses above $2,000 related to inviting or hosting an incoming buyer.
- The company must not be in arrears for taxes owing to Manitoba and must not be in receivership.
- The applicant must be in full compliance with government laws and regulations.

How to apply

Preparation of Documentation
Gather the necessary supporting documents such as invoices and receipts for the planned travel and accommodation.

Submission of the Application
- Complete the application form with all the required information.
- Submit the application at least 30 days before the scheduled date of the event or travel.

Post-Visit Meeting
- Arrange a post-visit meeting with a program administrator from the Manitoba government.
- Submit an evaluation form describing the business generated by the visit.

Reimbursement Request
- Submit the expense reimbursement request form within 30 days following the visit.
- Include supporting documents such as invoices and receipts related to the travel and accommodation.

Receipt and Retention of Funds
- Receive the reimbursement in the form of a check once the application has been processed and approved.
- Ensure compliance with all program conditions to maintain future eligibility.
Additional information
- The maximum program contribution is limited to $2,000 per application.
- Applicants can receive support for up to two funded applications per fiscal year.
- All claimed travel costs must be paid upfront by the applicant company, with reimbursements provided post-payment.
- No funding advances are available; reimbursements occur only after expenses are incurred and verified.
- Reimbursement requires submitting a claim form with supporting documentation for expenses within 30 days of the supported visit.
- Applicants must participate in a post-visit meeting with a Government of Manitoba program administrator and complete an evaluation form regarding the visit's business impact.
- Compliance with all program conditions is mandatory for payment eligibility.
- Follow-up reporting is required within 12 months post-visit to discuss the trade activity results.
- Total government assistance from all sources for the same activity should not exceed 50% of total costs.
- The program does not support visits occurring before the application date.
