Documents Needed

  • Completed and signed application form in Excel format
  • Copy of the request for proposals describing issues, objectives, methodology, timeline and deliverables
  • Two professional service offers (consulting proposals)
  • Board resolution or equivalent authorizing the funding application
  • OQLF attestation of francisation compliance, where applicable
  • Confirmation letters from financial partners, if available
  • Indigenous certificate or attestation for Indigenous organizations, if applicable
  • Proof of compliance or engagement with the Qualité‑Sécurité program for nature and adventure tourism businesses, if applicable

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a legally constituted organization under Quebec or Canadian law and conduct business in Quebec.
  • The applicant must be a tourism enterprise, municipal entity, Indigenous community or nation, regional tourism association, cooperative, or a regrouping of these.
  • Tourist accommodation operators must comply with applicable laws and regulations and hold a valid registration number.
  • Nature and adventure tourism enterprises must comply with, or commit to, the Qualité‑Sécurité program standards of Aventure Écotourisme Québec.
  • Applicants must have fulfilled commitments related to any previous funding received from the program partners.

  • Indigenous communities, nations and Indigenous tourism enterprises

Who is not eligible

  • Crown corporations and ministries or agencies of the Quebec and Canadian governments
  • Any applicant listed in the Register of enterprises ineligible for public contracts
  • Enterprises not compliant with the francisation process of the Office québécois de la langue française

Eligible expenses

  • Professional fees of specialized firms or consultants for specific tourism development studies or targeted advisory support
  • Net taxes (non‑refundable portion) directly related to eligible project costs

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Salaries, routine operating expenses and day‑to‑day management costs of the promoter
  • Working capital, debt service, operating losses, capital losses and share buybacks
  • Costs related to compliance, maintenance, upgrading or keeping assets up to standard
  • Recoverable portions of sales taxes and other refundable costs
  • Asset transfers, in‑kind or donated goods and services, and usual maintenance expenses
  • General administrative, operating or management fees, financing costs and lobbyist remuneration
  • Costs incurred under contracts signed before submitting the application, except fees to prepare the project
  • Promotion, advertising, marketing, cost overruns and legal fees

  • Tourism enterprises and organizations operating in the Lanaudière region of Quebec
  • Organizations legally constituted in Quebec or Canada and doing business in Quebec

Selection criteria

  • Alignment with the objectives of the EPRTNT 2025‑2027 agreement
  • Consistency with the Lanaudière Tourism Development Plan 2023‑2030
  • Structuring impact, including attractiveness, reach, economic benefits, partnerships, job creation and season extension
  • Innovative nature and quality of the concept, products and services
  • Financial structure, project relevance, market positioning and feasibility, including schedule and promoter expertise, with consideration of sustainable development principles

How to apply

  • Step 1: Request application form
    • Contact Tourisme Lanaudière by email at the specified address to obtain the EPRTNT 2025‑2027 financial assistance application form.
  • Step 2: Prepare project and documentation
    • Complete the application form in Excel format.
    • Prepare the call for tenders document describing the issue, objectives, methodology, timeline and expected deliverables.
    • Obtain two professional service offers from specialized consultants.
    • Secure a board resolution or equivalent authorizing the application.
    • Gather any required attestations (OQLF, Indigenous status, Qualité‑Sécurité compliance) and partner confirmations.
  • Step 3: Submit application
    • Send the completed form and all required documents by email to the program address before the stated deadline.

Processing and Agreement

  • Projects are analyzed based on how well they align with the objectives of the EPRTNT and the regional tourism development plan.
  • The evaluation takes into account, in particular, the structuring and innovative nature of the project, the quality of the concept, feasibility, and how sustainable development is taken into consideration.
  • Funding cannot be granted if the organization is listed in the Register of enterprises ineligible for public contracts or on the list of enterprises that are not in compliance with the OQLF francization process.
  • Granting assistance of $100,000 or more to a for-profit organization (OBL) with more than 100 employees entails a commitment to implement an equal access employment program, where applicable.

Additional information

  • The financial support is provided as a non‑repayable contribution.
  • Projects demonstrating measurable business results or gains in responsible, sustainable tourism receive particular attention.
  • Projects with a strong global approach to sustainable development, including social and eco‑responsible components, are valued.
  • Organizations listed as non‑compliant with the francisation process by the OQLF cannot receive funding.
