Overview

This program offers a non-repayable contribution of up to $100,000 to support the development, expansion and modernization of tourism attractions, activities and equipment in Lanaudière. It finances construction, improvement and enhancement projects that strengthen responsible, innovative and sustainable tourism offerings, including infrastructure, specialized equipment and new visitor experiences.

Activities funded

  • Construction, expansion or improvement of tourism infrastructures, products and services.
  • Consolidation, implementation, expansion or modernization of attractions, equipment, activities and tourism services.
  • Development, enhancement and valorization of sites, land and trails related to tourism experiences.

Documents Needed

  • Completed and signed application form submitted in Excel format
  • Detailed business plan for the project, including required permits and authorizations
  • Financial statements for the last two years, where applicable
  • Three-year financial forecasts following project completion, or project revenue and expense document for municipal or Indigenous entities
  • Board resolution authorizing the funding application and project signatory

Eligibility

  • Be a legally constituted organization under Quebec or Canadian law and conduct business in Quebec.
  • Be a tourism enterprise or organization such as a for-profit, non-profit, cooperative, municipal entity or recognized Indigenous community or enterprise.
  • Have fulfilled previous commitments toward program partners for any earlier subsidies received.
  • Tourist accommodation operators must hold a valid registration number and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Nature and adventure tourism enterprises must respect, or commit to respecting, the Qualité-Sécurité program standards of Aventure Écotourisme Québec.

  • Recognized Indigenous communities, nations and tourism enterprises

Who is not eligible

  • Quebec and Canadian government departments, agencies and Crown corporations.
  • Applicants listed in the Register of enterprises ineligible for public contracts.
  • Enterprises not compliant with the francization process of the Office québécois de la langue française, where applicable.

Eligible expenses

  • Construction, reconstruction, expansion, adaptation, conversion, landscaping or replacement of infrastructures and equipment, including deployment of new tourist experiences.
  • Purchase and installation of specialized equipment, furniture, boats and rolling stock dedicated to enhancing the visitor experience, and equipment improving attraction capacity or workforce retention.
  • Professional fees for design, engineering, technical staff, consultants, project management, reporting and preparatory studies or business plans (including eco-responsible development plans).
  • Costs for developing, enhancing and showcasing land and trails, including land acquisition, servitudes, rights of way and related fees, subject to specified ownership conditions.
  • Costs related to integrating sustainable practices, climate adaptation measures, site surveying, on-site quality control, net taxes on eligible costs, contingency (up to 15%) and integration of artworks under the provincial policy.

Selection criteria

  • Alignment of the project with the objectives of the EPRTNT 2025-2027.
  • Structuring impact, including attraction power, regional benefits, partnerships, job creation and season extension.
  • Innovative nature, concept quality and quality of products and services.
  • Strength and relevance of financial structure, business case, target markets, competitive positioning and marketing strategy.
  • Project feasibility, including schedule, proponent expertise and integration of sustainable development principles.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Obtain Application Form
    • Request the financial assistance application form for EPRTNT 2025-2027 by email at aidefinanciere@lanaudiere.ca.
  • Step 2: Prepare Application Dossier
    • Complete the Excel application form in full and have it signed by the authorized representative.
    • Prepare all required supporting documents, including business plan and financial statements.
  • Step 3: Submit Application
    • Send the completed form and all required documents by email to aidefinanciere@lanaudiere.ca before the stated deadline.

Additional information

  • Projects must integrate concrete sustainable development measures with positive environmental, social and economic impacts.
  • Projects may be subject to public tender requirements for construction contracts of $100,000 or more.
  • Construction or expansion projects of $150,000 or more for public buildings or sites may be subject to Quebec’s Policy for integrating arts into architecture and the environment.
  • Non-compliance with Quebec’s francization requirements can prevent the awarding of the contribution.
