Who is eligible?

Eligible applicants for this grant are consortia of Quebec-based companies and cooperatives, which must include at least one SME or a high-growth potential business.Startups:- Must be legally incorporated according to federal or Quebec laws and registered in the Quebec Enterprise Register.- Headquarters and main operations in Quebec with employees or subcontractors primarily working in Quebec.- Must have 250 employees or fewer in Quebec.- Cannot be more than 50% owned by other businesses or organizations.- Not formed through concentration, restructuring, extension of existing activities or the restart of such activities.- Led by a founder or a founding team, with at least one member fully dedicated to the business.- Must own the intellectual property rights of their product, process, or service.- Must receive support from an eligible business incubator or accelerator at the time of application.- Must have a facility in Quebec dedicated to the production of goods and services or internal R&D activities.- Must have assets of less than 50 million dollars and dedicate substantial resources to business development and commercialization.PMEs:- Must be legally incorporated according to federal or Quebec laws and registered in the Quebec Enterprise Register.- Headquarters and main operations in Quebec with employees or subcontractors primarily working in Quebec.- Must have 250 employees or fewer in Quebec.- Cannot be more than 50% owned by other businesses or organizations.- Must have a facility in Quebec dedicated to the production of goods and services or internal R&D activities.- Must own the intellectual property rights of their product, process, or service.- Global assets must be less than 50 million dollars in the previous fiscal year.Large Enterprises:- Must be legally incorporated according to federal or Quebec laws and registered in the Quebec Enterprise Register.- Headquarters and main operations in Quebec with employees or subcontractors primarily working in Quebec.- Must have a facility in Quebec dedicated to the production of goods and services or internal R&D activities.Projects must involve development of AI or quantum technology solutions with potential for short-term economic benefits, demonstrating significant innovation and requiring R&D efforts, and show commercial potential if applicable.
