- Support for a specific aspect of an existing festival or event aimed at development and growth
- Festivals and one-off events that generate significant visitor traffic and animate the destination
Documents Needed
- Completed and signed financial assistance application form in Excel format
- Programming or draft program of the upcoming event
- Most recent financial statements, including revenue-expense of the latest event
- Projected revenue and expense budget for the upcoming event
- Board resolution authorizing the signatory and any required attestations (e.g., OQLF, adventure tourism accreditation, Indigenous certification if applicable)
Eligibility
- The applicant must be a legally constituted organization under Quebec or Canadian law and conduct business in Quebec.
- The project must be a festival or event that attracts a significant number of visitors and animates the destination.
- The project must align with the general and regional objectives of the EPRTNT 2025‑2027 program.
- The applicant must have respected commitments related to any previous subsidies from the partners.
- Tourism nature and adventure companies must comply with, or commit to comply with, the Qualité-Sécurité program standards where required.

- For-profit tourism enterprises
- Non-profit organizations and tourism cooperatives
- Municipal entities
- Indigenous communities, nations, organizations and tourism enterprises
- Groupings of the above eligible clienteles
Who is not eligible
- Crown corporations and ministries or agencies of the Quebec and Canadian governments
- Applicants listed in the Register of enterprises ineligible for public contracts
- Enterprises not compliant with the francization process of the Office québécois de la langue française
Eligible expenses
- Administration costs related to the supported edition or specific development aspect
- Programming costs for the festival or event
- Promotion, marketing and communication expenses
- Site and facility management expenses, including general expenses, travel (within public service scales), salaries and benefits linked to the event
- Costs of products intended for resale and audited in-kind sponsorships of goods and services (up to 50% of total eligible costs)
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Programming that is part of the regular activities of an attraction
- Trade shows, tourism fairs, conferences, congresses and standard shows
- Fairs and markets that are not focused on food tourism
- Capital expenditures for acquiring equipment (including amortization) and costs related to compliance, asset maintenance, working capital, debt service, losses and asset transfers
- Non-event-related activities, routine maintenance, financing fees, legal fees, non‑audited in-kind contributions, recoverable taxes and acquisition of non-visitor-experience motorized transport

Selection criteria
- Alignment with the objectives of the EPRTNT 2025‑2027 program
- Structuring impact, including attraction power, project reach, spin-offs, partnerships, job creation and season extension
- Innovative nature and quality of the concept, products and services
- Strength of financial structure and project relevance to a significantly tourist clientele, including market, competition and marketing strategy
- Project feasibility, including schedule, marketing strategy, promoter expertise, integration of sustainable development and accessibility for people with reduced mobility where applicable

- Schedule a meeting with Tourisme Gaspésie’s business support coordination using the online appointment calendar.
- Hold the interview at least one week before the application deadline.
- Step 3: Complete Application Form
- Fill in the appropriate Excel application form for Festivals and Events.
- Step 4: Prepare Supporting Documents
- Gather all required documents as listed in the promoter’s guide for this category.
- Step 5: Submit Online Application
- Submit the completed form and all required documents through the online application form on the program platform.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are received on an ongoing basis until November 25, 2026, or until funds are exhausted.
- Complete applications are reviewed on the published deadlines; incomplete applications are carried over to the next deadline.
- Projects are assessed according to the selection criteria defined in the promoter’s guide.
- A funding agreement specifying the commitments is required before the financial assistance is paid.

- Incomplete applications are only reviewed once all required documents have been received.
- Incomplete files at a deadline are postponed to the next intake date.
