Documents Needed

  • Financial statements for the last two completed fiscal years (where applicable)
  • Three‑year forecast financial statements after project completion (or equivalent project revenue/expense document for municipalities and Indigenous communities)
  • Board or council resolution authorizing the funding application and project commitments

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a legally constituted organization under Quebec or Canadian law doing business in Quebec.
  • The applicant must be a tourism enterprise, municipal entity, Indigenous community or Indigenous tourism organization located in the region.
  • Accommodation establishments must comply with applicable laws and regulations and hold a valid registration number.
  • The organization must have honoured commitments related to any previous subsidies from the partners.
  • Nature and adventure tourism companies must comply with, or commit to comply with, the Qualité‑Sécurité accreditation standards when required.

Who is eligible?

  • For‑profit tourism businesses operating accommodation establishments.
  • Non‑profit tourism organizations involved in lodging projects.
  • Tourism cooperatives developing or operating accommodation.
  • Municipal entities undertaking tourism accommodation initiatives.
  • Indigenous communities, nations and Indigenous tourism enterprises with lodging projects.

Who is not eligible

  • State‑owned corporations and provincial or federal ministries and agencies.
  • Applicants listed in the Register of enterprises ineligible for public contracts.
  • Enterprises not compliant with the francization process of the Office québécois de la langue française, where applicable.

Eligible expenses

  • Construction, expansion, reconstruction, conversion, adaptation, refurbishment and replacement of infrastructures or equipment for new or enhanced tourist experiences
  • Acquisition and installation of specialized equipment, furniture, boats and rolling stock dedicated to improving the visitor experience or staff retention
  • Professional fees for design, engineering, technical staff, project management, monitoring and required reporting
  • Studies and preparatory work directly related to the project (business plans, preliminary studies, eco‑responsible development plans)
  • Land and right‑of‑way costs, site development, sustainable and climate‑adaptation measures, surveying, quality control, eligible taxes, contingencies and integration of artworks

  • Structuring impact, including attraction power, regional benefits, partnerships and job creation.
  • Level of innovation and quality of concept, products and services.
  • Strength of financial structure and relevance to target tourist clienteles and markets.
  • Feasibility of timelines, marketing strategy, promoter expertise and integration of sustainable development and accessibility measures.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Review program guidelines
    • Download and read the promoter guide for the Accommodation category.
    • Familiarize yourself with objectives, eligible projects and financial terms.
  • Step 2: Validate project eligibility
    • Schedule a meeting with Tourisme Gaspésie’s business support coordination using the online appointment calendar.
    • Discuss the project to confirm its admissibility before preparing the file.
  • Step 3: Complete application form
    • Fill in the Accommodation category application form in Excel format.
    • Ensure all sections of the form are completed and signed as required.
  • Step 4: Prepare supporting documents
    • Gather all required documents listed in the promoter guide for the Accommodation category.
    • Compile financial, legal and technical documents relevant to the project.
  • Step 5: Submit application online
    • Submit the completed Excel form and all required documents via the online application form provided by Tourisme Gaspésie.
    • Respect the published intake deadlines or submit earlier for continuous intake until funds are exhausted.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the deadlines or until funds are exhausted.
  • Incomplete applications are put on hold and carried over to the next deadline.
  • The assessment takes into account, in particular, compliance, the financial structure and the established selection criteria.
  • A selected project is the subject of a financial assistance agreement between the project promoter and the managing RTA.
  • Obligations relating to accountability and compliance with contractual and regulatory rules apply.

Additional information

  • Applications are received continuously until November 25, 2026 at noon or until funds are exhausted.
  • Incomplete applications are only evaluated once all required documents have been received.
  • Incomplete files at a deadline are postponed to the next intake date.
  • Projects must integrate sustainable development measures with positive environmental, social and economic impacts.
